I don't think it's--that I'm less legitimate. It just feels like they make assumptions. Like they feel like they already know me because they knew someone else who was like me.

Mm. I'm not sure what else calling you a copy or an echo would mean, if not illegitimate.

[She smiles and shrugs ]

I don't think about it much. I know who I am. And they don't know all of me. They just feel like they do.

[devoutish]

Do you get on well with them?

[furgood]

Fairly well? They don't try to push me as much here.

[devoutish]

Ah, it's the trolls here as well?

[furgood]

Well, one of the trolls here is one I knew in Panem. The same one--same instance as the one I met there. But he is from a time before he knew me. But he doesn't try to push me as much to do things here. It's all a bit different.

[devoutish]

What does he push you to do there?

[furgood]

[She shifts uncomfortably, taking a long sip of tea ]

It was just--talking about things I would rather not, really. It wasn't awful, I just--It's nothing really. [Deep breath and a smile ]

[devoutish]

Right, well.

[His brow is furrowed, concerned.]

I won't ask. I do hope you told him off for it, though.

[furgood]

No, it wasn't like that. I was in a bad place at the time--honestly it's alright.

She sets down her cup and waves her hands vaguely

In less awkward topics, this tea is very nice. It reminds me of some of the stronger blends I've had.

[devoutish]

It reminds me of home.

[He swishes his own cup around, then takes a sip.]

We very much enjoy tea, us Brits.

[furgood]

I didn't realize a beverage could be quite so universal. I like it. It feels...restorative. Some teas are light.

[She fiddles with the cup, tapping her nails on it and then smiling up at him. ]

Did you wish for it or did it come stocked for you? I had a few things come with my place.

[devoutish]

The makings for tea came with the place, yeah. Other things we've had to wish for. I got wine for Royce; I wished for that.

[furgood]

How sweet of you. I haven't wished for anything quite yet but I have a few ideas. A few things I might like. I'm still working out what I can find here, it's so diverse for such a small place.

[devoutish]

I wasn't expecting all the stuff on the trees, myself. That sort of thing's unnatural, where I come from - fruits and vegetables aside, of course.

[furgood]

No--neither was I. It seems like something the Capitol might do for a party, but not...real? Something they might make up, the idea of things dangling on trees to pick. Very silly and amusing but they wouldn't make real trees like that.

Probably.

[devoutish]

Could they, if they had a mind to?

[furgood]

Um, maybe? The chocolate one perhaps. The rest, probably not. The easiest would be the multiple fruits on one tree. That would be hardly any effort for them

[devoutish]

Hybrids, or something. Mm.

[He finishes off the last of his tea, setting his cup aside.]

All the magic is still strange to me, even now.

[furgood]

I've seen a lot of things that seem like magic. Here most of all. Some of it still doesn't feel real. It's so..odd the things people can do. Even in the Capitol they were bound by some laws of nature, if not many. Cans on a tree is something you just can't make without magic.

[devoutish]

Yeah. Some of it's technology that it's available in my time, but we're never gonna use machines and such to develop trees like this. The technology's easier to wrap my head around.

[furgood]

I agree--it's easier to know that they are making things from bits and pieces of other things than to just have it...appear. And just be. Made out of nothing but ones will.

But it's kind of fantastic in that way. [ She leans forward a little, waving one hand] There's so much potential there. Here. If Zephyr can just make whatever you wish for, the sky is the limit. Well--purrobably not. I imagine there is a limit to their power. Taking requests on bringing people for instance. But they haven't seemed to have said no to the most ridiculous ideas.

[devoutish]

From what I understand, the bringing people is random, yeah. They can't see who we are before they grab us; something like that.

[He sounds just a little wistful, but is keeping most of that in check.]

At least you managed to come in with Royce. I know it's hard to be separated from people you care about.
